Perhonen invites light and color to play, its gentle light provides space for dreaming. The variable elements made of translucent material are cut naturally from the plexiglass. Yrjö Kukkapuro's recognizable design language is completed by the visible role of the screws that act as fasteners for the components. A minimalist metal frame anchors the decorative lamp.
Originally designed by Yrjö Kukkapuro for his experimental studio house in 1968, the lamp was born out of a genuine need. It received its final commercial form when the colors and shapes of the postmodern wave of the 1980s flooded design. The Perhonen lamp family, complemented by the pendant lamp, is in production for the first time at Innolux.
