Setting up Osram Smart+ smart bulbs and connecting the remote control
Osram Smart+ smart bulbs can be controlled using a phone app and a separate remote control.
1. Choose the right WiFi network
- Make sure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network (2G)
- 5 GHz network does not work with lamps
Settings -> Wi-Fi -> Select network connection
2. Add the bulbs to the Smart+ app
- Open the Smart+ app (create a username if you don't have one yet)
- Screw the lamp into place and turn on the power (the lamp will flash 3 times)
- Add the lamp to the app according to the instructions (picture below)
- Go to lamp settings
- Turn on the “WiFi Remote Control” function
If the bulb is not visible in the Smart+ app, you can turn the bulb off and on again and it will automatically appear under "Add devices". You can also manually connect it according to the manual.
3. Connect the lamp to the remote control
- Select A or B on the remote control (which group the lamp will be added to)
- Point the remote control at the lamp
- Press the button in the upper left corner of the remote control
(vertical line) - Hold the button down for about 5 seconds
✅ If the connection is successful, the lamp will flash 3 times
5. If the connection fails
- Turn the lamp off and on calmly 5 times in a row
- The lamp goes into association mode
- Try pairing the remote control again according to step 4.
